In 2006, J5 announced they were parting ways after the release of 2006′s Feedback. However, Friday night, to much surprise to their fans, J5 hit the stage at Coachella for a full on reunion show, thanks in part to J5′s manager, Rick Gonzalez (peep the full set up top). Cut Chemist told Billboard Coachella was the best platform to reignite the reunion, going on to state “Coachella was a big regenerator of it all. We wanted something big to come out to. We couldn’t just start something up – it had to be centered around something big and Coachella came with an offer. It was a good thing to come back to because we did do the first one and Coachella is kind of family for us.” The group also plans on touring this year. Only time will tell if a new album comes into fruition.
